There is someone sending potentially dangerous emails out under an URL and Subject that looks as it was sent by the IRS. They even mention the infamous IRS CP2000 notice. These are fake, they did not come from the IRS. The IRS does not send out these notices by email.
For all the info on these scams, please check the IRS website.

This is my second year using Drake Software and I really love the ease of the format. Unfortunately I decided to use E-Collect as my bank product this year and I've had issues with check cashing vendors cashing the E Collect Checks. I live in Tampa, Florida and every where I go vendors tell me the same thing. My check numbers match up, I can verify it manually myself by contacting e-collect but most vendors refuse to use any number except the number on the check. I'm stuck in a catch 22 and I have customers who are fuming because they can't cash their checks. My only other solution is to deposit the checks into my account and pray. Is anyone else having this problem with e-collect?
