With the IRS funding delays this year, I'm getting calls from taxpayers who didn't listen when I said not to spend the money until they see the money. The IRS has always given themselves another week pass the target date they give. If they take longer than that, there are offsets or return problems.
IRS refunds are still running behind so don't spend the money until you actually get it. That means pay rent, buy a car, payback loans, pay utilities.... You get the idea. The bad check charges will be more than any late payments you will have.
